 John William McFarlane, 81, 468 Redondo Ave (2015 South) died Friday, 7:40 a.m., at his residence after a lingering illness. Born Sept 19, 1877, Stockport, England, to William Thomas and Emma Blackshaw McFarlane. Married Hattie Dunn, March 20, 1900, Tooele. She died June 14, 1939. Married Daisy Harris, Nov 6, 1943, Salt Lake City. Retired foundry carpenter for Kennecott Copper Corp. Member Christopher Diehl Lodge #19, F&AM. Lived in Stockton, Ophir, Tooele County; moved to Garfield in 1915, retired in 1956. Survivors: Widow; son, two daughters, A. W., Mrs. Nedra Binkerd, Mrs. E. O. (Edna) McVey, all of Salt Lake city, eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother; two sisters; a stepgrandchild he helped rear, Rickle Freeman, Salt Lake City. Public Masonic funeral Tuesday, 1 p.m., Masonic Temple, 650 E. South Temple. Friends call 574 E. 1st South Monday, 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at Masonic Temple after 12:30 p.m. | |
